GTA Educational Group 1
Gauteng Travel Academy has introduced an interactive supplier programme which will have our learners engage with respected suppliers in the travel and tourism industry through presentations, site visits and supplier based practical assessments. GTA believes in going the extra mile for our learners and the respected company that has sponsored the learnership.
GTA is proud to announce that we embarked on our first educational which took place on the 10th & 11th June and took to the Mother City of Cape Town to explore one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Our Journey started with a wonderful surprise from Nan from British airways - Comair that helped us with the flights down to Cape Town: We thank you! The GTA students were introduced to the luxurious slow lounge which is only accessible to the VIP's. They felt like millionaires and are grateful for that experience.
We were assisted by Joe, our driver, with transportation by AAA Shuttles & Tours whom helped us with transport to all the site visits, Thank you Hanien Louw for your support. We thank you for your kindness and great sense of humour that made the experience all the more fun.
We were fortunate to be provided with Accommodation by Inn On The Square - (Three Cities/ AHA group) and who had facilitated sight visits on our behalf. Thank you for your kind support!
We would like to thank the following Hotels which kindly opened their doors for a site visit:
- Inn On the Square (Accommodation)
- Mandela Rhodes Place (Site visit)
- The Adderley Hotel (Site visit)
- Harbour Bridge Hotel (Site visit)

We received amazing feedback from our students that previously had never been to Cape Town. Here is some feedback:
Dear Eunice
Hereby I wish to express my thanks for the awesome and insightful 2 day trip to Cape town and back.
Special thanks to everyone whom made this trip possible:
Nan for the flights (My first flight ever to Cape Town) and the super surprise Thursday morning in the Golden Lounge. I felt like a millionaire.
Tania and Debbie Sykes for the breath taking accommodation and the surprise snack in our room which made me feel very special. The site visits, so more interesting than learning out of a book, thank you for the opportunity.
Joe for the safe transportation, I felt safe driving with you.
Kind regards
Michelle de Beer
