GTA Educational Group 2

Posted 11 Aug 2015

Gauteng Travel Academy has introduced an interactive supplier programme which will have our learners engage with respected suppliers in the travel and tourism industry through presentations, site visits and supplier based practical assessments. GTA believes in going the extra mile for our learners and for the respected company that has sponsored the learnership.

GTA embarked on their second Educational that took place in the beautiful city of Cape Town, Our students returned back with such wonderful feedback about the standard of service that our sponsors had presented.

The students were accompanied by Nan from British Airways - Comair who sponsored us with return flights to Cape Town and also by GTA's Head of Academy, Erica who facilitated the educational in making sure that everything went as planned!

Upon arriving at Cape Town International Airport, we were assisted by Neil's Transfer Services who were kind enough to drive us to our first site visit at The Bay Hotel in Camps Bay. The Bay Hotel is a luxury 5 stay accommodation in the heart of Camps bay, notoriously known as one of the wealthiest areas in South Africa!

The students were presented with a site visit of The Bay Hotels rooms, providing a detailed insight into what makes The Bay Hotel a choice of class and convenience, especially to the VIP client! After been shown the facilities that included 78 luxury rooms with an expensive sun deck, the students were spoilt with a cocktail overlooking the ocean. The students were amazed at the level of service and hospitality which truly revealed the expectations that exist in the tourism industry!

"A big thank you to Abri & Andre from The Bay Hotel for opening your doors to GTA, we feel that you imparted valuable insight into what clients expect when it comes to Travel and Leisure"

The students were then driven to the Townhouse Hotel which is situated in the heart of Cape Town's CBD, a historical and cultural epicentre! The Townhouse Hotel was kind enough to provide us with accommodation, dinner, bed & breakfast! Spoilt beyond measure. The students were excited with the buzz that existed outside the hotel and we proceeded to tour the city centre, learning about Cape Town's beautiful history and understanding how it came about! GTA is grateful for The Townhouse's hospitality in providing us with accommodation, it is most appreciated!

"A big thank you to Ruby & Theone from Townhouse Hotel for providing us with such a wonderful experience! It will not be forgotten"

GTA would like to thank Nan from British Airways - Comair for blessing us with the return flights to Cape Town, without you, this would not be possible! We would like to also thank you for accompanying us to the educational, you made every moment!

A big thank you Travelport South Africa for providing us with Nando's meals!
